2025 Legends Weekend

Some play...others leave a Legacy.

Legends' Weekend 2025 is designed to give student-athletes an academic and career roadmap for long-term success off the field, and a clear athletic evaluation for skills needed to excel on the field.  Our weekend goal is to register 50 - 100 student-athletes with the NCAA Eligibility Center.

WHY:  90% of student-athletes desire an athletic scholarship, yet only 2% of high schoolers are awarded.  Our research shows that nearly half of the players in Polk County are unaware of the NCAA Eligibility Center requirements and over 60% of those same players do not have a plan or intended career outside of playing professional sports.

WHO:  The B.Rich Project, Inc. (sports mentoring non-profit) is celebrating 15 years of service.  Our mission is to shape not just better players, but stronger, well-rounded individuals ready to thrive in every arena of life.  We believe there's more than one way to be rich.  We inspire those we work with to develop multiple plans to achieve the life they desire to have after they finish playing sports.

WHAT:  Student-athlete workshops and Player evaluations will be conducted to give students & parents awareness, resources, and information on how to achieve their goals of obtaining scholarships, better understanding their recruitment, and securing their financial future.  Workshops and evaluations will cover the following areas and topics:

  • NCAA Eligibility registration

  • How to maximize your NIL

  • Money Management

Skill evaluations will give students direct feedback and observations on their skill strengths and areas of development.  The skill evaluations will be conducted by former collegiate and professional athletes and coaches:

Basketball Evaluators

Football Evaluator

  • Brandon Coleman (former NFL receiver (New Orleans Saints)  & current wellness business owner)

WHEN:  Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the AdventHealth Fieldhouse and Conference Center (210 Cypress Gardens Blvd)

The Fieldhouse will be the hosting site for the Player Workshops (for athletes of all sports) and Basketball Evaluations.

Location of football evaluation to be determined.

Team registration (workshops & eval) fee:  $50

**Team MUST include 5 - 10 players.  Each additional player will be charged the individual registration fee.**

Individual player registration (workshop & eval) fee:  $15
